OUR STORY
A kitchen made to feel like home.
Chandra’s Cocina brings together Chef Chandra’s experience, curiosity, and care in a welcoming space where curries, brunch, and bagels are made from scratch and shared around the table.

A SHARED TABLE
It all began around food.
The story of Chandra’s Cocina begins with a simple idea: preparing food can be a practical way to welcome and care for people. Each recipe brings together something to discover and something familiar, so even a new table can feel close.
Eating here is not merely a pause between activities. It is time to talk, taste, return to a familiar flavor, or meet an unexpected one. That balance of curiosity and warmth connects the work in the kitchen with the experience of every guest.

CRAFT AND CURIOSITY
From Baltimore to Guanajuato.

Before starting Panda Luna Culinary, Chef Chandra worked for seven years as an executive chef in Baltimore, Maryland. Her experience includes international and vegetarian cooking, bread baking, and desserts—different disciplines connected by precision, organization, and attention to detail.
Working across those areas means changing scale: coordinating a service, measuring a fermentation, balancing a dessert, and building depth without hiding the main ingredient. That background can be felt today in a menu where slowly prepared curries, boiled and baked bagels, made-to-order breakfasts, and catering share the same kitchen. The influences are not displayed as a decorative list; they are handled thoughtfully to shape a personal, clear, and generous style of cooking.

CHEF CHANDRA
The chef behind every detail.
Chef Chandra Kirkland’s confirmed background brings together seven years as an executive chef in Baltimore with experience in international and vegetarian cooking, bread baking, and desserts. That range appears in everyday decisions: dough that needs time, a sauce that needs adjusting, and a plate that should reach the table as a complete thought.
That experience also means seeing the whole service, from advance preparation and team coordination to the moment a guest walks through the door. Her role does not end when a recipe is set. A kitchen also requires tasting, organizing, listening, and welcoming. Chandra’s Cocina carries her name and keeps a personal point of view—curious about flavor, disciplined in its craft, and attentive to how each dish is shared.
In Chandra’s kitchen, preparing food also means caring for the person sitting at the table.
MANY HANDS
The team that brings the kitchen to life.
Every service is shaped by many hands, ideas, and shared care.
Chandra’s Cocina is also the work of a team that prepares, bakes, serves, and welcomes every guest with care. Creativity is built each day through recipes, conversations, testing, and coordination that rarely appears on the plate but can be felt throughout a visit.
That shared work sustains every service: it gives dough time, brings a sauce into balance, and keeps the welcome personal even while the kitchen is moving. The team’s story is told collectively, with attention on the craft and the care connecting each task.

TWO DOCUMENTED PROJECTS
A public career, without inventing continuity.
In 2019, Chef Chandra started Panda Luna Culinary, a kitchen offering private catering, food for parties and small events, and prepared meals to go. That format brought her work to different tables and helped shape an approach to food that was nourishing, delicious, carefully presented, and intentionally prepared.
Panda Luna is part of Chef Chandra’s public professional story. Chandra’s Cocina now brings curries, bagels, brunch, and hospitality together on Paseo de la Presa. Available evidence supports telling the projects separately, but it does not confirm a formal name change, legal continuity, or the restaurant’s opening date.
PASEO DE LA PRESA
Our home on Paseo de la Presa.
At Paseo de la Presa 84, Chandra’s Cocina has a place to welcome people every day. Its intimate scale lets the rhythm of the kitchen and the conversation share the same space: a present-day, welcoming home centered on what happens around the table.
Guests can come for breakfast, share a curry, take bagels home, or begin a conversation about an event. The restaurant’s intimate scale supports a simple intention: for each visit to feel relaxed, generous, and personal.
